The prologuechess.com site presents the Prologue Chess app, published by AGENCE DEBORD EURL (9 rue des Colonnes, 75002 Paris, France). This page explains how your data is handled when you visit the site and when you use the app.

The site: no personal data collected

This site is purely informational. It has no form, no account creation, and no login area. We therefore collect no personal data about you: no name, no email address, no phone number.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses no advertising cookies or third-party trackers. If a privacy-friendly analytics tool (cookie-free and without personal data) is added, it builds no profile and cannot identify you.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Any technical logs kept by the host are used only for security and reliability.

The Prologue app

Unlike the site, the app may process some data in order to work. Here is what, why, and with which providers.

Account (optional)

You can use Prologue without an account: your progress then stays on your device. If you choose to sign in with “Sign in with Apple”, we create an account to save and sync your progress across your devices. In that case we receive your Apple ID and, if you allow it, the associated email address (possibly the private relay address provided by Apple). We never receive your password. This data is handled with Supabase, on a self-hosted instance in the European Union.

Analytics and improvement

To understand how the app is used and to improve it, we measure usage events (screens viewed, openings studied, features used) and technical information (device model, iOS and app version). This uses PostHog, on an instance hosted in the European Union. It is not used for advertising and builds no advertising profile.

Subscription

The free trial and subscription are managed with RevenueCat and the App Store. We process your subscription status and a technical identifier. Payment is handled entirely by Apple: we never have access to your card number or banking details.

What we don’t do

• We do not sell or rent your data.
• We show no advertising.
• We use no third-party advertising trackers and no cross-app tracking.

Where the app’s data is hosted

• Account and progress: Supabase (self-hosted, European Union).
• Analytics: PostHog (European Union).
• Subscription: RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) and Apple.

Your rights

You can request access to your data, its correction or deletion, and the deletion of your account, by writing to the address below. In the app, you can sign out at any time.
